My passion for travel fuels my love affair with photography. I'm always looking for the picture that perfectly depicts a place; and enjoy melding story with imagery.

Greetings and welcome to jnapier.ca.  I’m a people loving, deadline seeking writer, award-winning photographer (okay, one award), foodie and world traveller and I insist on finding something to make me laugh every day.   I have four years of experience as a food columnist for Southender and Bedford magazines, and flexed my funny bone for two years with my column “Funny Business” in Mingle magazine. I’ve also been published in Porthole Cruise magazine, Trailer Life, Soar Halifax magazine, Saltscapes, The Chronicle Herald, Costco Connection, Reader’s Digest, and contributed a “frugal tale” to the book Nova Scotia Guide to Frugal Living by Carol McDougall, 2009, Nimbus Publishing. By writing a novel in 30 days I earned a NaNoWriMo winner designation during National Novel Writing Month, 2006.  Most recently, I’m a regular contributor to Family Fun Canada (www.familyfuncanada.com).

Jan Napier is a talented writer and photographer whose contributions went a long way towards making our magazines the popular publications they were.  Always reliable, always going that extra distance to provide the reader with relevant and interesting recipes and accompanying stories.  Beyond that she has always been a pleasure to deal with and a true professional.  I can’t recommend her enough.”
